A totem is any organism, animal or mythical and spiritual animal or plant that assists or symbolizes the character traits and characteristics of individuals, families, and clans. With this project, I wish to illustrate how people and social contexts in a modern world orient themselves towards and find truths in a number of modern myths. In the modern world, where religion and spiritualism are on retreat, the myths of individuals and groups become diverse, divergent and often conflict-filled.
Signe Rohardt Lund har arbejdet i metalværkstedet på en skulptur inspireret af bølgerne i Storebælt, Storebæltsbroen og andre brokonstruktioner. Skulpturen med arbejdstitlen 'Dolphin-Bridge' skal med på Kunsthal Kongegaardens udstilling 'LANDING' primo 2022.
Til en gruppeudstilling på Frederikshavn Kunstmuseum har Anders Bülow produceret fire nye værker under et ophold i grafisk værksted på Statens Værksteder for Kunst.

Maja Qvarnströms udviklingsophold på Statens Værksteder har givet hende anledning til at deltage i en Københavnerbaseret gruppeudstilling og til at eksperimentere med dans og performance som metode og formsprog.
Henover sommeren 2021 har fotokunstner, Mads Juel, haft to artist in residencies i henholdsvis Lissabon og Hornbæk. Efterfølgende har han haft ophold i Statens Værksteders fotostudie for at scanne og få overblik over det omfangsrige materiale, han har indsamlet på de to residencies.
Rikke Luther har haft to ophold på Statens Værksteder i 2021. Først på grafisk værksted, hvor hun arbejdede på den grafiske del, trykt på 1280 kakler. Senere i Turboladen, hvor den overordnede formgivning samt keramiske elementer er blevet lavet.
Anne Guro Larsmon has worked in the Metal Workshop and The Casting Studio to prepare pieces for the group exhibition Above the Sky, Beneath the Ground at 68th Art Institute in October 2021 - curated by Rebecca Møller-Hansen. The final results of her residency was shown in correlation to the exhibition TOMBAC w/ Mia Van Veen at Sagene Kunstsmie in Oslo in November.
