Artist, Nina Nowak has been working on installations for a soloshow at Horsens Art Museum in the fall of 2026. It is a large scale project, and she has been working night and day in the studio 2, the wood- and metal workshop to finish on time. For this project, she has been working on the topic of landscapes and mapping.

April 2026

By combining 3D technologies with sculptural, hands-on approaches, the practical part of the project brings together CNC cutting, photogrammetry, and manual carving. The resulting installations investigate systems of connection and material that take place. In the metal workshop, I worked on holding structures and 3D-printed elements.

Later on, the metal structure was painted with water-based lacquer. The structures will be combined with objects made of CNC-cut plywood elements, as well as hand-carved wooden objects. The leftovers of the CNC-cut wood I could transfer into building the objects that I would later use for carving. The same goes for the material from the shipping crate that I built in the wood workshop.
