‘Send in the clowns’ is a series of 8–10 interactive ceramic sculptures that explores humor, theatricality, and play through a visual language inspired by clowns, fish, and flowers. Drawing from commedia dell’arte, Pokémon, Looney Tunes, and Rube Goldberg machines, the works combine abstraction, distortion, and kinetic mechanisms to create sculptures that invite touch and participation.

Rather than existing as static objects, each sculpture incorporates moving elements that encourage viewers to manipulate and activate the work, transforming the exhibition experience into one of discovery, surprise, and playful engagement.

The project continues my ongoing investigation into interactive ceramic sculpture, exploring how movement, absurdity, and audience participation can expand the possibilities of the medium while maintaining the tactile and material qualities of clay.
