Billie Maya Johansen studied visual and contemporary art at Det Fynske Kunstakademi before transferring to Städelschule, where she received a Meisterschulerin in 2014.
Her works has been shown at film festivals and exhibition spaces: Hygum Kunstmuseum, Den Frie, B3 Biennale of Moving Image, Kunsthal ULYS and Kunsthal Aarhus.
Johansen works in a variety of media. Her work probes the integrity of our subjecthood through a dynamic use of colours and materials.
