Exhibition Foyer: Michael Antrobus
juni 10 - juli 31
10 June – 31 July 2022
The project is a partnership between industry and craftsmanship; Combining a specialist factory made stainless steel extrusion with self made tooling to produce a range of furniture items with distinctive graphic profiles.
Each item in the collection relies on a rational framework composed of horizontal elements held between half round extrusions that are offset along parallel lines. The metal components have been produced using a combination of heat bending with a self made jig and cold forming with a manually operated bar bender.
The slender tabletops are made from veneered panels, faced with solid wood. The canvas and leather elements have been cut, finished and fitted by hand. The full collection consists of a lounge chair, stool, side table and coffee table.
Grand opening: 10 June 2022 at 5pm
