Maja Lund is an artistst, designer and ethnologist from Denmark and is currently living and
working in Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds an MA in Ethnology from University of Copenhagen, a
BA in Textile Design from UCC and a BA in Musicology and Comparative Culture Studies from
University of Copenhagen.
Lund works primarily with textiles and specializes in natural dyes and fibers, taking inspiration from
landscapes, biodiversity and cultural history. In her interwoven artistic, artisanal and academic
practice she researches the relationship between materials, crags and textile cultures through
studying and working with the materials and textile practices in different contexts.
