During my residency at Statens Værksteder, I created a series of ceramic sculptures based on casts of my own body. It will be shown at Brigade Gallery in a duo with photographies of Niels Nedergaard (1944-1987).

Working across sculpture, video, and installation, my practice investigates representations of the queer body through material processes, exploring its adaptability and its entanglement with social, ecological, and political systems.

Clay plays a central role in my work, acting as a tactile link between the body and the landscape: its malleability echoing the body’s own capacity for change, while its geological origins connect human experience to wider environmental cycles.

Drawing from personal narratives of illness, I challenge conventional ideas of health and normalcy, creating spaces where vulnerability becomes an act of resistance.

My works often begin with direct casts of my body, using these forms to explore the tension between preservation and transformation.
