Nicole Wong designs furniture that harmonizes form and function through minimal, mathematically curved forms. Working primarily with wood and occasionally metal, she uses bent lamination techniques to coax organic lines from rigid hardwood, constantly testing the material’s structural and aesthetic limits.
Her practice balances experimentation with fine craftsmanship, adapting to the unique capabilities and constraints of each component.
Nicole holds a Bachelor’s degree in Furniture Design and Industrial Design from San Francisco and a Master’s degree in Furniture Design from the Royal Danish Academy. Her work will be shown during the 2026 edition of 3 Days of Design as part of Objects May Vary, an exhibition exploring reinterpretations of the coat rack through contemporary design practices.
