Welcome to the Danish Art Workshops

The Danish Art Workshops (SVFK) is an institution under the Danish Ministry of Culture, whose purpose it is to provide working facilities for particularly demanding art works.

At the SVFK it is possible for artists to do work in large formats, which their own studios or equipment cannot facilitate. Artists, designers, craftspeople, and restorers can work here on projects in art and design at the highest level.

Movements of and towards Seaweed

13 Feb. – 13 Mar. 2026

Marianne Johnstad-Møller’s works are inspired by the special properties and life form of seaweed. For 3 years, she has collected and photographed washed up seaweed between Løkken and Furreby in Denmark. She has researched the aesthetics and growth history of seaweed and explored its importance for the ocean and all humans.
