A Quarter of a Century of Workshops for the Arts
Friday the 25th of March 2011 was the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Danish Art Workshops for the best Danish visual artists, craftspeople, designers and conservators.
1986 – 2011.
In this period, the house has been central to the most demanding productions within visual art, crafts, conservation and design. Mora than 3000 unique works of art, decorations, design prototypes, an numerous difficult restauratioon projects have been solved in the studios and workshops of the DAW, with the help of the institution’s highly specialized professionals. Artists from Denmark and abroad have applied for residencies to complete the production of highly demanding works and have found unique facilities and professional counseling, as well as an inspiring, professional art environment.
