DESCRIPTION:Maleri i udvidet form\nHen over sommeren har Ruth Campau arbejdet på en udstilling til Bornholms Kunstmuseum i Statens Værksteders største atelier\, Turboladen. Hun har benyttet det store rum til at producere metervis af bemalede akrylplader\, ikke med en traditionel pensel\, men med en kost! Vi har under Art Week ’21 inviteret hende til at fortælle om sine arbejdsprocesser med farve\, materialer\, rum og arkitektur. \n \nRuth Campau arbejder med maleri i et udvidet felt\, hvor værkernes interaktion med omgivelserne er essentiel. Derfor tager hendes værker ofte form af installation eller in situ / udsmykningsprojekter. Hendes arbejde med farve har en fremtrædende rolle og strækker sig på flader og i diverse medier i lange strøg\, som har gjort stort indtryk på bl.a. arkitekter verden over. Hun har modtaget priser og stor anerkendelse i ind- og udland\, for som Statens Kunstfond skriver: \n”Campau arbejder hele tiden med at udvide maleriets grænser\, ikke bare inden for den traditionelle kunstinstitution\, men også i en langt større både social og arkitektonisk forstand.” Legatudvalget for Billedkunst. \nI samarbejde med Art Week afholder vi på Statens Værksteder for Kunst en artist talk\, der vil gå tæt på kunstnerens arbejdsmetoder og hendes egne refleksioner omkring og tilbageblik på et omfangsrigt kunstnerliv. \n  \nArtist talk med Ruth Campau afholdes tirsdag d. 28. september kl. 16:30 på plan 4.\nDer er fri entré\, men tilmelding er nødvendig. Send en mail til tilmelding@svfk.dk \nVi ses på Statens Værksteder! \n\nEnglish \nRuth Campau: Painting in an expanded field\nDuring the summer\, the Danish artist\, Ruth Campau\, has been granted with a residency at the Danish Art Workshops in the largest studio\, “Turboladen”\,  to work on an exhibition for Bornholm Art Museum. On that occasion\, we asked her to do an artist talk about her working processes with color\, materials\, space\, and architecture \nRuth Campau works with painting in an expanded field\, where the interaction between the artworks and the surroundings is essential. Hence\, her artistic projects often takes form as in situ- or decoration projects. Her unique\, physical work with color plays an important role as it stretches out on different surfaces and in diverse media in long brush strokes\, which has made an impression on architects around the world. She has received many prices and great acknowledgement nationally as well as internationally\, because\, as the Danish Arts Foundation says: \n“Campau’s work constantly challenges the boundaries of the painting\, not only in the sense of the traditional art institution\, but in a much broader social and architectonical sense.” The Committee for Fine Arts. \nDuring the Artweek ’21 we at the Danish Art Workshops have the pleasure of hosting an artist talk on Sept. 28 at 4.30pm exploring Campau’s unique working methods and her own reflections upon a rich and extensive artistic life. \nThere is a free entrance\, but you must submit an email to tilmelding@svfk.dk if you wish to join. \nThe event will be in Danish.
