The Danish Art Workshops (SVFK) welcomed its first artists in 1986. Since then, the workshops have played an important role in the production of several thousand visual art, crafts, design and restoration projects. Today, some 170 projects a year pass through the workshops and studios on Christianshavn.

SVFK’s primary task is to contribute to the creation of very large scale and especially demanding art projects. On top of that, we arrange artist and design talks, participate in the yearly Culture Night, and host a number of meetings, workshops and events within the industries.
